Melanie values kindness above all else and brings this principle into every aspect of her work. As a Director, Consultant, and Specialist Support Coordinator, she is a trusted subject matter expert on the National Disability Insurance Scheme, with particular expertise in using plan funding flexibly and effectively within the operational rules of the scheme.
She has a strong focus on home and living supports and the use of clear, functional language to help participants achieve optimal and sustainable funding outcomes. Melanie is known for her ability to translate complex NDIS processes into practical, understandable guidance that empowers participants and families to make informed decisions.
As the parent of Jake, an NDIS participant, Melanie brings invaluable lived experience to her role. She understands first-hand how challenging the NDIS can be to navigate, as well as how difficult it can feel to place trust in formal support services for someone you love. This perspective shapes her approach and reinforces her commitment to ethical, person-centred practice.
Melanie’s personal benchmark for quality is simple: would she feel comfortable and confident with her own son receiving this support? If the answer is no, she advocates for change — always striving for better services, stronger communities, and a more inclusive world.
Outside of her professional work, Melanie is passionate about travel and believes that meaningful life experiences — including the opportunity to explore, connect, and participate fully — should be accessible to everyone.
